Lanikai, Oahu, Hawaii

I started shooting waves from the Manhattan Beach Pier when I was about 12 yrs old. Those first experiences led to an incredible career that keeps me stoked every day.

I lived on Maui for most of the 70's and was fortunate to shoot Honolua Bay, Maalaea and even some secret spots (and kept them secret) as a regular contributor to SURFER magazine. I traveled to Bali with Gerry Lopez when Kuta was mostly dirt roads and Uluwatu was still very much off of the beaten path.

Trading the waves of Maui for a great education at Art Center College of Design enabled me to pursue dreams that I never imagined.

Now living in Lanikai on the island of Oahu, I currently do a variety of editorial and advertising photography for a variety of clients in Hawaii, the mainland and beyond.

I've enjoyed a successful career in commercial photography but when the surf is firing, I still get that pang inside that requires me to grab my camera and head to the beach.
