When 16-year-old Andrew Buckley picked up the March 1990 issue of Tracks surfing magazine and saw his photo of Mitch Thorson's Narrabeen barrel on page 75, his future flashed before his eyes. In the decade-and-a-half since, and with pro basketball not an option, "Shorty", has gone on to become one of the world's most respected surf photographers.
With an imaginative eye and the swimming strength of a fur seal on heat, his portfolio of sublime ocean moments have graced the pages of the world's biggest surfing magazines and ad campaigns for the world's most influential surf companies.
