A unique perspective of Pipeline

We’ve been meaning to post this for a while, so a lot of people will already be familiar with these photos and/or tilt-shift photography (a technique whereby real landscapes are shot to look like miniature models!). But they’re so cool, we had to share it anyway! The photographer; Vincent Laforet is widely considered one of the leading photographers in this field (check out some of his photos here)…

Shown below are three great photos of Pipeline (North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii) shot by Vincent Laforet in 2006, using a camera mounted on a remote controlled helicopter! As a result of these unique photos of Pipeline, Vincent was contacted by Jamie O’Brien to work together on a short narrative film (in 2009), based on Jamie’s life on the Pipeline, titled "J.O.B. First Look", below is the trailor…
