| Biography I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany and came to the U.S. in 1979. I had my first painting lessons at age five and continue to study with nationally known artists through workshops and various classes. My resume includes many juried exhibitions in my current residence of Texas as well as nationwide and in Europe. I have won numerous awards including Best of Show in 2006 at the Pastel Society of the Southwest show, have had my work published in International Artist magazine, the Pastel Journal and as a children's book and have a long list of portrait commission clients. I travel extensively and love to paint en plein air as well as finishing larger pieces and portraits in my studio. The surfer series was inspired by my many travels to California and Hawaii. My art affilliations include the Portait Society of America, Degas Pastel Society, Pastel Society of the Southwest and The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club.
